FEFSI organized a felicitation ceremony for our venerated Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi In gratitude for the land allotted in Kancheepuram for deserving members of the cine industry.
FEFSI organised a felicitation ceremony over the weekend. The elaborate thanksgiving event saw the entire Tamil film industry present including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith Kumar and Vijay. The guest of honour was Bollywood’s great Amitabh Bachchan.
Several top personnel, including actors like Vikram and Ajith came on stage to thank the CM for his support of the industry as a whole. The Actor Ajith simply stunned the crowds with his speech. Taking everyone by surprise, after thanking the CM for his support of his fraternity, he made a plea and ardent request that art and films must not be mixed with politics.
It is Very often most of our actors are threatened by few personalities in film industry to get connected with political issues. Now and then, lots of protests are held by the members in union. I request everyone to let the actors get on with their profession and save them for the best.
He however said that he attended the function on his own to thank the Chief Minister for his service to Tamils and Tamil Nadu for the past six decades and no one pressurised him to do so.
These were honest words humbly presented to the CM.
Rajinikanth stood up and gave Ajith a standing ovation, which resulted in the entire stadium applauding in uproar.
When our CM went behind the microphone, agreed that cine folk should not be forced to make statements or participate in events related to social causes.
Kalaignar also appreciates Ajith’s speech. Amitabh Bachchan, who later got his turn, appreciated our ‘Thala’ for making a great speech.

With much expectation me and my friend bala, vatsen, vijay anand went to theatre in morning 8 am show. After seeing this movie we got full satisfaction after a long time we had good Tamil movie with Hollywood effects.
Asal Ajith plays a dual role with one character dealing with international smuggling and the second role is to investigator. A new brand image will be given to this Boss who always break the box office through his movie collections.
Asal is going to be the blockbuster movie for Ultimate star Ajith in 2010 after the winning streak of Billa in which the handsome hero of Tamil Cinema. Certainly this movie would make the Tamil cinema proud

Popular Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil actress Navya Nair tied the knot with businessman Santosh N. Menon at Cheppad near Alappuzha. Navya Nair began her acting career with the hit Malayalam film Ishtam in 2001 and went on to win the State Best Actress award the next year for her performance in Nandanam.
She has tied the knot with Santosh, the vice-president of a Mumbai-based exporting firm and the son of Narayana Menon and Shantha Menon, originally hailing from Changanassery in Kottayam district.
Navya Nair, a native of Muthukulam in Alappuzha, is the daughter of Raju, a BSNL employee, and Veena, a schoolteacher. On his marriage she wore a red Kanchivaram Bavanji Sari. The wedding, conducted between 12 p.m. and 12.30 p.m. at the C.K.H.S.S. Grounds, Cheppad, was attended by over 1,500 people, including several film stars including Cheran, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Suresh Gopi, Divya Unni and K.P.A.C. Lalitha and also many more were present.
A reception has been held at a hall in Changanacherry (Santhosh’s hometown) on this evening at 6 p.m.

As i booked the show at 8 am at albert theatre which far away from my area. so I wake up at 5.30 and saw the early sun rise. This is the first time after a long time may be I should thank the god because as today is the pongal festival seeing the sun at early is good sign.
I went to this movie today morning with huge expectations. I and my friends Reached the THEATRE by 8 am. The movie starts with Andrea and reema along with archeological team is planning to go to island near vietnam in search of missing prathap archeologist. Here comes our hero. Karthi’s introduction was damn cool. Reema sen was damn hot throughout the movie. The movie started with Andrea working as archeologist and karthi as low wage worker(normal worker). Andrea’s father(Prathap pothan) went in research of chozha place found to be missing.
This movie has all sorts of ingredients to the audience especially for youth. Hope this work will give him a great success in coming film. I think Parthiban has taken the lime light from karthik in the second half. I had a great time watching this movie. This movie given a new and different type of experience to Tamil cinema.

Yugi Sethu, screenwriter of Aasal, who has acted in Aasal after a ten-year break from acting reveals that Ajith wanted to do a double role where one character would show off his acting skills and the other would be the commercial action hero. With Aasal, he combines both in one character.
This what Ajith fans expect from the actor is a lot of action, which Aasal gives scope for. But the added asset of the movie is the emotional quotient as well. This movies combines the commercial elements of an MGR movie and the emotional elements of a Sivaji Ganesan movie.
Certainly Whether you are a diehard Ajith fan or not, you will enjoy the movie because it has something for everybody.
Ajith has done an excellent job. He knows what his fans want, and hence his input in the writing and making process has only bettered the film.
