Nayanthara, the top heroine of south India, has been banned by Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) and Nadigar Sangam from acting in any further Tamil movies.
The verdict was given on hearing the complaint made by the producer of ‘Paiyaa’ against Nayantara following the latter failing to pay back the advance amount even after backing out from the project. Sources from TFPC say that both the organizations were forced to put a ban on her for refusing to pay back producer and director Lingusamy the advance money.
The TFPC and Nadigar Sangam have said in no uncertain terms to its members, the producers, not to sign her for any future films. In their statement they have requested the producers association in other languages also to cooperate with them in not signing the actress for any further films.
Nayantara however, remained unperturbed. She has reportedly said to a journalist that it was true that she got the money and that she refused to pay it back. She says she has her own reasons for doing so and that she was not given a chance to put forth her argument before the organizations.
